I voted FOR Obama both times, not against McCain and Romney.
I had an issue with McCain selecting Palin.
And I was really bothered that Romney campaigned against the ACA which was almost the same exact law he implemented in Massachusetts.
But Obama is who I wanted to run in 2008 in the first place.

Many economic experts are expecting a slowing economy before 2020. Nothing really major. The economy has been going strong for like a decade now.

They said that about 2016 and 2017 too. Now look at us. And 2013 and 2015 was supposed to be "the big one" where we were really going to pay for the sins of 2007.
Economists don't know jack sh!t. Dow could be sitting pretty at 30k in 2020 and those "scientists" (don't even make me laugh) will be saying "oh well you know 2022 is looking pretty darn gloomy right now."

I've always had great respect for John McCain.
I can tell you for certain that my vote for Obama was a vote FOR Obama and not against John McCain.
WaPo is reporting that the Mueller report had summaries written into it, meant for Barr to hand over to the public. But Barr rejected that to write his own.
there is little chance that Mueller made mistakes in his summaries that had to be redacted or changed by Barr.
Did Barr volunteer to the the WH protection man? It is hard for me to believe that a lifetime public servant would debase himself to protect Trump, so I'm holding out. But when the NYT and WaPo both publish the same story, that means it's true. it means that Mueller basically okd leaking that he is displeased with Barr.
I'm not going too far on this...the whole thing is a spectrum of guilt...but it sure sounds like Barr wanted to give trump the advantage of first spin.
Fox has high ratings, huh.
So news programs are about ratings and not providing information.

I truly love that you claim to have voted FOR Obama and then immediately justify it by pointing out why you voted AGAINST McCain and Romney.
Good job!

Your first mistake was to assume that someone who has worked for the government for most of his life is automatically a "lifetime public servant". "Lifetime government employee" would be a more apt term. And government employees are no more apt to be saints than anyone else.

The Democrats hated McCain UNTIL he did everything he could to ruin the Trump presidency. It is quite peculiar (and sad) to see folks like Joy Reid, Chris Matthews, Mika and Morning Joe, Lawrence O'Donnell and the rest of the gang at MSNBC lionize McCain now when they previously had nothing but bad to say about McCain.

If I had a penny for every time I heard that Trump is freaking out, panicking, can feel the walls closing in, feeling increasingly alienated, melting down, etc., etc., I would be a far wealthier person than I already am. Come on guys, enough with wishful speculation.

McCain is an oddball guy. For the most part he was a standard Reagan era movement conservative, which was obviously a negative if you were a democrat.
But his nickname was 'maverick' because he would sometimes take positions the Republican Party loathed. And he stopped the reckless takedown of Obamacare - that cemented his position, as did his distaste for trump. That's why Dems like him.
"In 1982, McCain was elected to the United States House of Representatives, where he served two terms. He entered the U.S. Senate in 1987 and easily won reelection five times. While generally adhering to conservative principles, McCain also had a reputation as a "maverick" for his willingness to break from his party on certain issues. His supportive stances on LGBT rights, gun regulations, and campaign finance reform were significantly more liberal than those of the party's base. "

No. If you read back a few pages, most of the dem posters on this board said that no matter what, Mueller was a good little soldier and not go against what Barr reported, even if it went against his findings.

Trump is in a perpetual state of freaking out and panicking. All those times that is was reported have been true, it's just that no one thought a president could be this alienated from his own White House staff.
I mean the walls are closing in so much that they're practically quantum tunneling through Trump at the point.

He sure doesn't look like he is freaking out or panicking at all. He seems to be having a merry good time running the country. The only ones freaking out or panicking are those like Rachel Maddow who cried when the Mueller report found no collision, Chris Matthews who almost cried but acted despondent when the Mueller report came out, and all the other radical left, Trump-hating Liberals who had meltdowns when the Mueller report did not come back with what they guaranteed it would.
eh?
I think the problem Mueller is having is being second guessed on why he punted on obstruction. I suspect Mueller wanted more facts out there explaining his decision...and those facts are probably quite negative against spankites. So Mueller prepared summaries for Barr to hand out, explaining Mueller's actions. Non-actions. But Barr didn't hand out the summary, so Mueller looks like an indecisive idiot. That's probably why Mueller is stewing and okd leaks.
Clearly, there will be testimony in front of congress - mueller, barr.

yeah, you're right. Not being able to say 'origin,' claiming windmills cause cancer and saying your father was born in a different country is actually totally normal spankite behavior. You are right.
