Who you got, the bikers or the liberal whiners? I'm thinking the bikers in a landslide.

Trump is not a conservative. If you are one, I have no idea why you are heartened by his election.

Hey, it's Obama's last day. Surely he still has time to impose sharia law, FEMA camps, mandatory abortion, death panels, martial law, and confiscate all our guns.
If he doesn't, all those Republicans will be wrong.. -

This is a weird red herring.
Also, people like you who try to polarize things further by assuming everyone is 100% democrat or 100% republican never seem to graduate past elementary understanding of the world and it's workings.
You don't have to be a hardcore republican to agree with some (or even all) of Trump's views or policies. And furthermore, many of us revel in the joy of seeing the smugness slapped right off the faces of people who were just so sure Clinton was the Chosen One. The smug sense of moral (among other forms of) superiority many people proudly wear like a badge still won't get Clinton elected president. Her supporters have had an awfully, awfully difficult time reconciling this fact.
The collective temper tantrums of many of her supporters/voters around the country have been embarrassing but extremely entertaining.
I'm certainly not saying Trump will be a great president. He may not even be a particularly good one. But since I don't believe Hillary would be any better, those factors cancel out. We are left with the joy of watching a bunch of special snowflakes and SJWs cry into their gluten-free coconut water over what they just know in their hearts could've and should've been.
I hope America can be great again. -
Today I am feeling a great deal of pride and I have never felt more positive about my country's future. I hoped and worked hard to see my plans come to fruition. Hacking and publishing all the emails of only the Hillary people was genius but really the way I published them in drips and drops grabbed the nations attention. The fake news we put out there and gobbled up by American social media worked as expected.
But much credit must also go to my boy, Donald. He was wonderful the way he attacked any newspaper or anyone who criticized him. Any bad report was fake news. Let's face too no one could lose a lead like Hillary.
It is a wonderful day!! -

Sorry, I must have missed all the gun-grabbing that happened during the last eight years of a Democrat president. When did that happen? -

You realize that this is one of the very worst reasons to select a president. It should have no role at all in your selection of who you think could best lead our country.
Unfortunately I think your reason is common. Trump helped foster it. Sad for those who parrot this as a reason. -

That's the thing, though. Both candidates have some very strong negative. In my educated opinion, neither is a better choice over the other based simply on policies. So when I can't confidently choose one person over the other based on how well I think they will lead our country, I am perfectly OK making sure that the people in this country who want to force "progressivism" down our throats have to take a step back and realize how terrible their social agenda is. -
And speaking of the worst possible reason to vote for someone, A very large proportion of Hillary voters were backing her simply because of her gender. Hyping up or supporting an awful candidate simply because of her gender or because "it's time a woman was president" is arguably significantly more troublesome. Clinton was a terrible choice for the Democratic Party to nominate, but their self-destructive need to prove to others how progressive and accepting they are ultimately led to their downward spiral and defeat.
-
I think one of the more amusing thoughts regarding this election and President Trump is an ovulation is that every time a liberal whines and cries about the mean stuff President Trump says, or how incompetent they think he is, they are also reminding them selves of how terrible of job they did at finding a candidate who could beat him. If Trump is such an inapt leader and such and obviously terrible choice, it doesn't say much about the Democratic Party that they couldn't even mount a successful campaign against him.
Don't trouble yourself with non sequitur arguments like "but, but, but.....muh popular vote!" I suspect that someone is just itching to throw that one out there, so I figured I'd head it off and help you realize what an ineffective and non-starter argument that is. -

I think you have bought into Trump's campaign of personal attack (obviously demonstrated through his relished "lock her up chants"). If you had told that there are certain progressive policies that you don't like as a reason for your vote, I would have more respect for your reasoning. But instead you state that you voted that way to basically teach the progressives a lesson. -
Guys, i hate to break this to you, but you need to move on form arguing the election again.
There's a new president in a couple of hours, and he's totally unprepared. Only 2 of 15 cabinet positions approved. Only 29 of 660 executive department appointments named. 50 Obama staff staying on to fill gaps.
For a man who talked about how dumb Obama administration was, how easy it would be to put things right, and who people voted for based on their idea of his business experience, its already a shambles. Any why? because he doesn't have the intellect, interest or focus to either do the job or to deliver an administration that's ready to go. -

Yes Hillary was a terrible campaigner who never won an election on her own except in New York State(heavily democratic). However, Trump is still does not have the right stuff, only the wrong stuff. -
I weep for our democracy.
Yes, let's vote for someone to so we can wipe the smiles of a smug, faceless progressive.
What an idiot. -

I think you're still missing the point. Your vision is clouded by your love for Clinton. There was no reason for me to vote for Clinton. Trump was the default, with the added bonus of everything else I mentioned.
Let's let trump fail if he's going to, and he might. I don't know. He hasn't had a chance yet. Hillary has been a failed legislator. Move on. -
