I started Pfitz 18/70 2 weeks ago, with the goal of a sub 3 marathon at the end of it. (I'm male 42, marathon PR 3:12:26 - with much less running, not following any training program)
Today I was supposed to run 13km easy, then 13km at marathon pace (4:16/km). The first 13km were easy, of course, but I did feel a little bit tired and sore, but just a bit. Then as soon as I started running at marathon pace it felt Way harder than it should have and could only do 3km at that pace. I finished the remaining 10km, but much much slower than I should have. ...but I did manage to do the last km in 3:58, so I did still have something left in the tank.
Anyways, not really sure what happened but I simply had no energy to keep up that pace. So far all the other workouts were quite easy, so I'm trying to not read to much into this one workout...

Anyways, so I'm not really sure what I'm looking for: Comments? Personal experience with this program? Is this normally a hard workout in this program? Should I be discouraged and reevaluate my goal? Is this nothing to be concerned about since it is so early in the program?
