Just another One-Race Wonder
More like another one season wonder. Too bad the 2014 indoor season was her lifetime peak.

Ummmm, world junior champion in her hometown.

You know this, how??
Because I have heard her/Alberto brag about some of the times she has run in workouts and it seems like those kind of workouts should be netting faster race results. I just think she is more of a workout runner than a race runner.

Hasay ran the 1500 as well. Not sure which came first but for a 10k running doubling with a 4:16 and 2:11 isn't bad at more of a low key meet. I would imagine the NOP crew was there to treat the races as a workout.
I also wouldn't get worked up about Cain in the 800 when it was won in 2:05. Clearly not an all out effort for Moser who doubled as well. Maybe a bit concerning that she wasn't closer to Moser and that was the only race she ran. Still just a workout.
That's exactly why you should get worked up... If it was won in 2:05 and she was still 3 full seconds back, that's terrible. If they all ran 2:08 and she was a second off, ok.. She got out kicked, but she hung. In 2:08 that means she couldn't even hang in a slow ass 2:05 race. I love her, but wtf
mary cain is the german fernandez of the women's side of track AKA a young phenom who is nothing now.

Hasay seemed OK with the effort.
Didn't realize she was basically out for a year with injuries.
Huge exaggeration.
I wonder when was the first time she ran 2:08. 8th or 9th grade? This is just about the 5th anniversary of her 2:03 relay leg at the New Balance Nationals. Just about the 3rd anniversary of her 1:59.58 at the Pre. In retrospect that was probably the peak. Not a one season wonder.

As a guy who spent a good 4-5 years of my running career in the 4:10-4:20 1500 range, I can tell you that I would never be satisfied with a 2:11 800, regardless of how soon it came to the 1500.
The only exception would be if I split like 70/61 in the 800 and won the race.
2:11 is not great, but it's ok for a 10k type who perhaps ventured down from altitude to get in what amounts to a workout and support a local meet.

It's far from great. It would be like a male 10k runner coming down from altitude and running a 2:00 800m.

2:11 in F800 is equivalent to 2:00 in M800.
Amazing she is sponsored.

Hasay is a 10k runner coming back from injuries, not a mid-distance runner racing a double. This was a workout, you have no idea what the objective of this double was.
let her try a marathon later this year..
One gets the idea that Cain could've got to 1:56 if after running 1:59 she did nothing but eat steak and do hills and speedwork, instead of joining the Salazar cult and developing robotic form and doing post-race medicine ball catches on the underwater treadmill.

Were you born batshit stupid?
2:00/2:11 is not too far off from the correct M/F equivalence. It's actually around 1:55/2:11 as both are around 110% of what the word-class 800m runners are running. The reason the correct equivalence might seem peculiar is because people forget that women's athletics is, internally, less competitive than men's.

Whether it's equivalent is not relevant to the stupidity of questioning how a girl who has done what Hasay has and despite her struggles just ran sub 32 which is now a male equivalent of 2 flat.
Jamin, everyone knows you're batshit stupid as well.
Any of you morons notice that Katie Rainsberger a highshooler ran 4:14 for 2nd, and ahead of many pros in that same 1500?
Why why are you all so effing stupid?

You have no idea what she did the day of the meet, or the previous.
And by IAAF tables a 2:11 800 m for a female is scored as equivalent to a 29:50 10K for men.

And the equivalent for her 31:39 10k is 27:43 for men.
There's no way to argue that her 800m performance had any kind of silver lining.
