I too think her chances are slim, but why don't you look up some data before offering your opinion? Or change your name to "LazyTrackCoach"?

5 years for a person who will be pushing 38 when the trials start is huge. Her odds of being a 31 min running in the spring are slim/none. Her odds of being a 32 min+-20sec runner is pretty decent. That puts her in a group of a half dozen or so athletes looking for that 3rd spot. The good news for her is that that mid 2:30 finish was her best race in a long time.

huddle is talented but is a mental wild card.
i don't trust her to make sound judgements in a big race, as evidenced by her WC blunder at the line where she let up and got 4th.
i guess that could also work to her advantage because she'll be hungry to do well after that gaff.
USA needs runners with a killer instinct, and we don't have many
Huddle is the Women's best medal shot. She's been an absolute beast and will be the American Record holder in the 10km. She made a stupid mistake at Worlds, I doubt it ever happens again. She literally has been the most consistent Women's distance runner for over 2-years in terms of times and performances.
I think she's going to translate really well to the Marathon. She's a complete animal on the roads.
that Huddle's PB for the Half is exactly the same as Flanigan's.
She is a very good runner with many excellent results. I hope she can make the 10K team. Finishing fourth in the marathon trials will add fuel to her competitive desire. Not a fan of her interviews though.
