He ran fast again.
Does anyone care?

He only came fourth. He's washed up, time to move back to the marathon
We should! I do anyway.
With all the ridiculous performances today it's certainly easy to overlook Mo, but damn if he doesn't deserve some credit... he's run 3:28.93, 8:03.40, 26:50.97, and 59:32 all in the same year. Say what you will about Mo, but I doubt anyone can deny that is some amazing range.
More evidence that he is a 5/10 guy and not a1500 guy as some here claim. He did beat some good milers here though.

I won't argue that he isn't a 5k/10k guy, BUT running 3:28 and losing to a pair of Olympic champions is hardly evidence one is NOT a 1500 guy.

Holler when he runs a fast 5 or 10k.

Please list a couple of good 1500 races he has won. Most 5000 guys are really good at 15-hm.
Yah Mo ran great today. Just off of his european record. There were a lot of other better and unexpected performances today so there wasn't that much to say about it.
One thing I thought was strange was in an interview he couldn't say for sure whether he was going to run the 5k at Worlds. He said: "I will do the 10,000m for sure and then we will see about the 5,000m."
Why wouldn't he?

Winning has nothing to do with what kind of runner you are. It's about your ability and times.
The bigger question is why does he run all-out 1500s but won't ever try in the 5k or 10k. Probably because he really is best at the 1500 and doesn't want anyone to realize he isn't in shape to run 12:50 or so.

I agree. He needs to run the 5. That was the one he won in '11.

It is when you are the Olympic champion at the 5k and 10k
Well he is coached by a proven doper so he's likely doping himself.

In other words, Mo is a pair of Olympic champions all by himself!
Did ventolin call it this time?

Do you really not understand the difference between fitness and titles?

An all out 1500 will not take as much out of you. Also the people he's racing are not scared of him and watching his every move.
No sure about the scare part but as sure as hell every Ethiopian and Kenyan competitor of him is watching Mo so closely
This was a better performance for him than the 3:28.81 because he was undrafted much of the way.
Too bad he can't go for 1500/5000/10000, although I don't think he would win them all

We've been thru this ten thousand times already -

Don't think the real value of Mo is 12'53". He ran already 12'57" in 2010, when we worked together for some month in Iten, in Zurich, and now is very much stronger, after going to Salazar. To think can run near 12'40" is something reasonable, such as the possibility of running under 26'30" in 10000m.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
