Title says it all. Dibaba proves that you can run 3:50 clean.
What does that say about the Chinese World Records?
Maybe the track wasn't short after all.
Maybe they were clean.

You would have to be an idiot to believe the EPOpians are clean. You are another PC Chicken Little.
Here are the leading results.
Dibaba 3:50.07 WR
Hassan 3:56.05 NR
Rowbury 3:56.29 AR
Simpson 3:57.30
Muir 3:58.66
Koster 3:59.79

Dibaba clean? There is no reason to believe that people who train most of the year in areas that allow them to avoid spot checks and out of season tests are clean. These people build themselves up in the off-season with drugs and training and reap the benefits during the season. Until they're tested year round like most people, we can't be sure they're drug free. Considering some of the people involved, it's a good be they aren't clean at all.
That was pretty amazing to watch. Dibaba looked amazing. Props to Hassan for going with her. Rowbury had a great finish. Simpson hasn't looked like herself the past two races down the stretch, wonder what gives.
I don't k now about clean, but it's nice to knock off a world record performance that very few had even seen.
There will be real full video of this one, right?
I thought Ryan Fenton had a pretty curious reaction to the new World Records:

sounds a bit racist without the necessary context, am I right?
Dibaba was literally smiling going into the next lap.
Not clean.
I was going to see the new Jurasic Park movie with my girlfriend tonight but after seeing that I think I've had my fix of science fiction for awhile.
That was an amazing race. So happy for her. Doping speculators... Why even follow this sport???
Has anybody noticed no other competitors congratulate Dibaba after races? I noticed it in the 5k the other night and again tonight the only people who really congratulate her are the pace makers. Does make me wonder if they know something the general public don't?
Take into comparison the amount of congratulations that people like Kiprop got after his race and the fact Dibaba just beat a well known world record run by the Chinese when on drugs and it does make you wonder if something isn't quite...or perhaps I'm just cynical about T&F more now since Gatlin is still running ridiculous time whilst now 'clean'.
Spectacular race.
Queen Dibaba is fast and gorgeous.

Women are catty bitches.
The other men in the 1500m ran PBs or close and may respect that Kiprop went with the rabbits. Sprits were high.
"Game recognize game, grand dad."
Some of them did congratulate her. Yes, you are being cynical.

That she finishes that far ahead of a world class field is kinda odd I will admit. But I do hate to jump to conclusions with doping. Shes got the WR until proven guilty. I just don't particularly enjoy watching races like that which are complete dominations. There is nothing like a good head to head battle with tactics and heart trumping physiology numbers.
My thoughts:
1) I want Dibaba to be clean, but everything is up for speculation. To crush it with a big mistake in pace-making is an added consideration. She is pretty but not like her sister ;)
2) I don't want Rowbury to be clean, hope she and everyone else at the NOP is busted soon, and angry that Simpson didn't beat her.
3) Who the hell let the sprinters warm up in lane 3 while there's a world record being run? Ridiculous.
4) I love the 'Jo's but assuming Dibaba's clean would be wrong considering their stance on other athletes. She dropped her PR by fully 4 seconds tonight ... We'll see.
what does it take to get a black screen around here? sub-3:50?
