he some somali living in yugoslav ?
i know susanj held yugoslav nr with 1'44.07 in '74 destroying a kid called ovett
the
"race of the decade"
in '74 wouda been peak
Kipkurgat
v
susanj
v
wohlhuter
all 3 in peak form, fully rested & in zurich on temperate, 0 wind day with ~ 50-flat to bell wouda seen at least 2 run
~ 1'42-low - high
pretty sure i know winner, considering only 1 ever ran a likely solo 1'44.3 semi at windy meet !!!
Amel MF Tuka!!! - Amel Tuka of Bosnia runs 1:43

He held the national record with his previous 1:44.19 ran a couple weeks ago in Slovenia. His PR before this year was 1:46. Bosnia and Herzegovina has separate records than Yugoslavia.
-
Clearly Vent isn't a real student of the event if he thinks Amel is a Somalian!
Considering he didn't even answer your question, Amel has held the NR for the past three years -
2013 1:46.29
2014 1:46.12 (was 6th at EC)
2015 1:44.19 now 1:43.84
He was very lucky not to be tripped by the rabbit at 580m in his 1:44.19 and looked very strong in the last 100m (race below). Vent will love the way he runs his races, as he runs has his last few races appear in to follow his +0.5 200m splits (albeit running wide).

no offense
if you coach a 1'44.4 guy & tell him 2s ve splits or 0.5s/+ve splts for 200s is not "ideal" method, then you are a total inept
utterly clueless
impress me :
Rudy ran WR after rounds off solo :
23.4 !!!
what on earth do you think that wouda been off rested / paced
~ 24-mid
??? -
Thank you (JRinaldi). i was just surprised to see Bosnia come up next to a 1:43. Wikipedia says his 400m PR is only 47 and change with no listed 1500 (though based on his 400 I assume he'd be more of a Symmonds type).
-
His 400 PR is from 3 years ago. I'm confident he can lower his PR in the 400 by a wide margin if he ran it this year.
-
Wow! This kid is on fire!!
-
Tuka destroys the field in 1:42:51!!
Cheers to him. #1 in world right now! -
WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MONACO??
The two most impressive runs in the 800m today came from young guys who hadn't broken 1:46 before this year: Amel Tuka and Boris Berian.
I really hope Berian can really build off this year, because after this I think it's painfully obvious that he has the talent to compete for a medal and to break Johnny Gray's record.
Does anyone know much about Tuka's history? On Twitter Alberto Stretti said he was friends with his coach. Mr Stretti, if you're out there, could you provide some insight? -
lol

Tuka had to move into the 4th lane to run down the Africans and win. No doubt Vento will tell us this makes no difference, and Tuka's true potential is maybe a tick under 1:44. -
AMEL BOSANCEROS TUKA
TAKO JE BOLAN -
drivel
i have plenty of formulas
1st :
look up how much extra he ran wide on bends
it's easy it's 3.14159... based
then look at his 2 splits
then apply the formula, which works for all 800 guys as will him as he is not a 1'40-guy thus offering mold breaking & Kipketer in monaco-'97 just 3/7 after incredible zurich ran :
52.0 / 50.7
( off unknown wide running as i missed that race on satellite )
tell us if this kid ran 50.7 ???
anyhows, for no extra on bends :
for an ideal 2s +ve 800 :
you take off final clocking :
( ( 2nd lap - 1st lap ) - 2.0 ) * ( 1/3 )
( this applies to flat-out last 400 :
Kip in monaco-'97 was only flat-out last 200 )
someone impress me :
work out kid's route-1 400/800 splits & apply above -
Legenda bogami!

"Just" a1.46 man last year. Extremely impressive. His camp is in Italy?

We merged two threads together.
-
Bosnian national record (I wonder what the old record was). 1:43.84
-
Tuka's 400m PR of 47.19 also happens to be the B&H national record.
I'm curious to see him run a 400 or a 1500 after this performance, to get an idea of what kind of runner he is -
I'm pretty confident he's a 400/800 guy watching the vid of him doing block starts in training.
Haven't seen too many guys look that relaxed in the last 50m of a 1:42 race before. -
Hmmm... Smells fishy
-
Such obvious doping like two other races.
dont think any new endurance drug at play
like rudisha had , gw50.
time will tell keep eye on mens 800 if so.
all done exactly same.
all about speed and
all about Igf-1 lr3 at peak cycle
to get this speed and need
endurance to match , high hct anyway can.
take one times 1.46 athlete do the above
and drop 3-4 seconds .
therefore means berian is a doper.
amos ,aman, souliman all on same routine.
just outdid by amel today.
best guess that poles for first remotely clean athlete over line.
problem is that amel and kiprop in 1500m
obviously at peak peak cycle and that souped up nervous sys. got those long legs going beyond norm. like bolt long legs and this peptide are unfair .but cant keep
at peak long or gain again quick, so makes worlds more difficult for them.
