This sucks. Really sucks. So far ahead, but disaster. ARRRRHHHHHH!
I am now an Evan Jager fan. He looked absolutely amazing, his stride, his form, and the way he ran that race...took it over and went for it from way out, absolutely amazing...Incredible effort, he was spent at the end, and one slight bobble...still, amazing
And that race showed such incredible sportsmanship...Jager shaking hands with C. Kipruto before the start, Kipruto hugging him back - but at the end of the race, Haron Lagat ran right over to him after he congratulated Birech, Briech and Kipruto surrounding him, that's real class, that's respect among competitors. That was real class. He and Jenny Simpson are absolutely class acts, Benard Lagat has always been...this is rare today, this is also amazing in my eyes.
Let this feed the fire, young man, And bring it next time out, you have the heart, you will get your reward

She looks kinda like Efraimson
Yup, you're right! There's definitely some likeness. Cool!
Here goes Big Mak!
Probably should mention Huling in 8:15 and Cabral in 8:17 as well

Whatever. Jager's going to break 8:00 and he's going to be a WC silver medalist at worst.
Me too. This guy is something the sport needs right now.
Jager all heart!
53.7 closer
SILAS lays a beatdown!!
PROUD LION HAS BEEN HUNTED
How's vent going to explain this one for maloofi? Kiplagat 3:30.13 with probably close to 53 flat over the last 400m
Jager is incredible. What courage and what an effort - one of the most inspiring distance performances experienced in a long, long time!! Freakin awesome, i am now a huge fan of his!! Clearly he is in 7:55 fitness...

That is no way to lose a race. He'd completely destroyed the best in the world and deserved the win. Hope he wins the gold at the worlds.
+1 I was flipping out the entire last few laps where he took over. Getting over the barriers is part of the game but to be so close really was so crushing to watch. But after this...he really could take the Gold
Same reason I do not post here (the toxicity and racism), but, I have to say I feel for Jager. But, he has thrown down the gauntlet as it were. Nice times for steeplechase.
Years ago Jager and his father took a beating here. Nice to see them vindicated and more.

Why his father? Was he his coach at one time?
Eunice Sum is the real deal. Hope she starts getting some respect. She barely qualified for the final as a fastest loser and came out of nowhere to win gold. Since then she's been consistently winning but commentators have repeatedly dismissed the women's 800m as "weak". I think she and Ajee Wilson can push each other to threaten 1:55.

Is she on the same thing as Jager and Rupp?
