Temperature is going to be too high for a WR, which is too bad because their Ethiopian compatriots are there to help set the pace during the middle part of the race.
paris is having a heatwave with temperatures pushing 100F !!!
that is great for sprints but far too hot for middle/distance
the 1500 is a great line-up with maloofi/silas/souly
silas not in great shape but maloofi is, almost back to games shape
unfortunately with this weather it will be very hard to crack 3'30 for him but when he finds a temperate day, he shoud be looking for 3'27
still, he must be annoyed at only having a still 3'30+pb & i definitely think he will have a crack at 3'29 even in this blast furnace
souly shoud be thereabouts
he may even pace maloofi to a 3'29 & probably hang on for 2nd

Here are the paces the rabbits aim to bring them through in. https://twitter.com/albertostretti

It's currently 88F at 3:00 PM with 43% humidity. It'll be cooler by tonight when the races are run. Hotter than ideal but not disastrously so.
The meet starts in about an hour. Employee 1.1 has interrupted his honeymoon to be there live to cover it live for you. Let the post-nuptial shutoff begin!!!
It should be great one? Could Evan Jager possibly become just the 12th man to break 8:00? Will Ayana or Dibaba break the WR?

89 degrees right now in Paris, and probably hotter on the track, will probably have a negative impact on any record attempts.
Anyone have a free link? beIN sport doesn't allow xfinity.

IN terms of other races, 45% of you are saying Makhloufi will win the 1500, 34% say Souleiman and 19% say Kiplagat.
83% of you say Eunice Sum will win the w800.
In the steeple, 39% are saying Jager will finish 2nd, 45% say 3rd.
World record in the 5000m tonight?
I say no by a hair (or delta x)
Evan Jager dips under 8 in the steeple. Birech winning in 7:58.

Bit of cloud cover in Paris, still feels hot, but not terrible and we have a couple hours to cool down until the 5000.
I'm in Spain and the meet is NOT on Eurosport. Anyone got a good link?
It looks like the meet isn't on BeInsports either as the Copa America final is on.
Does anyone know if it's on in the US? I don't see it anywhere.
It is being streamed on bein sports connect online for those that get bein sports.
