I just finished my freshman year at a D1 school in the northeast. I have always stunk big time in hot races, going back to high school (92 degrees at state meet as a junior, ran 54 seconds off pr, dead last), and I just had a real shitty steeple at jr nats (98 degrees). I'm not in the greatest shape right now but definitely shouldn't have been 50 seconds off my best.
I'm definitely on the heavier side for a steeple/5k guy, 5'11" 160, wondering if that makes a difference. Also, anything I can do to try to improve my hot weather running?
