There is some behind the scenes work going on… Mike Rossi ought to consider coming clean, it is only going to get worse for him!
Here's a good blog post somebody wrote: http://therunnereclectic.com/2015/05/06/race-times-physiology-and-statistics/

I doubt he will come clean now (on his own).
He might ask the LV Marathon to do him a favor and DQ him. At that point, he can make some generic statement (I appreciate the fact that the race director delivered a thoughtful and thorough review. While my photos and history do not stand behind my achievements that day, I can only look forward to running my next mile).
Admitting guilt without admitting guilt. Without eating crow.

Just when I thought you losers couldn't sound any more desperate and pathetic...
Ooooooh, behind the scenes? Has LoserMikeRossi hacked into the CIA's computer systems to get the tracking info they obtained by planting a computer chip in Mike Rossi's molar?
Yawn.
First time poster here. I jumped onto this thread around page 200 and within minutes (seconds really), it became patently obvious that Rossi cheated. Anyone who thinks otherwise does not know running or has their own agenda.
So there are 2 types of people who post here…
1) Those who are enraged and incensed by the injustice and unfairness in a sport we hold near and dear to our hearts. We have been dishonored and our voices not heard.
2) “Supporters” of Rossi – some might be Mike himself, some could be friends/family (who know in their hearts what the truth is but feel an obligation to come to his rescue), other “supporters” are just toying with the whole thing and involved in their own attention seeking.
Where a 3:11 is certainly not an amazing time for a middle-aged man, it certainly is a near impossible reach for Mike Rossi. I like the question that was asked previously. “What if everything else was the same (no photos, lack of training/results, perpetual bragging, etc. etc.), but instead of the 3:11, Mike Rossi won the race overall with a 2:15?” How would the conclusion to DQ or not be different than it is now?
Some advice to folks posting on here… Do not validate the stupid posts by replying to them. Simply ignore them. The personal/family attacks lose credibility. Stick to facts and ways of spreading this story in an appropriate and civilized way.
I applaud the folks who have gone out of their way to try to right the wrong – whether it’s creating blogs, collecting and sharing data, emailing the appropriate powers that be. This takes time and I’m sure you’re not influenced by those who say “get a life.” To the contrary, doing the right thing is what life is all about.
Also, remember that some people are just joining the thread, so it would be helpful to repost links and other useful information. I believe in the power of this community. For whatever reason, the VIA Marathon thought they were taking the path of least resistance by not DQ’ing Rossi despite the obvious evidence. I’m hopefully that someone with influence can bring appropriate closure to these unfortunate circumstances. But in the mean time, let's all do our part.
Very well said NYC Runner, I think you are spot on. Reacting to the Rossi defenders usually leads to emotional attacks, while rationally looking at the facts leads a person with common sense to no other conclusion but a cheat was allowed a pass from a marathon representing themselves as a road to Boston.Sara's blog is a great way to start for any newcomers:http://sarahbw80.blogspot.com/2015/05/catching-cheat-did-mike-rossi-cheat-to.html
+1! Very well written rational response.
Mike, please call me. Still waiting for that coffee date of ours.

This thread is now the 8th result listed!
Mike Rossi, your 15 minutes of fame has caught up to you, now it is a lifetime of infamy!
For me it's numbers 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16.

There are three types of people who post here..
3) Not enraged or incensed.... Enjoying the interplay of the deniers/pretenders and the fact finders and the other great elements to the story.
Actually, there are FOUR diverse elements as fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.
Do you humps really think that a bride looking to book a DJ is going to click on links to a running page talking about a guy who cheated on a marathon?
Too bad Rossi threatened legal action against the brojos. Maybe if he hadn't they would have one day felt sorry for him and removed this thread. Because of the lawyer incidents, this thread will live on forever, even if Lehigh Valley and Boston eventually do the right thing and DQ him.

When you start to type Mike Rossi in Google and it autocompletes to "Mike Rossi Cheater", the running part is not relevant.
The reason this cheater Rossi bothers me is that I retired from competitive marathon running three years ago choosing to train for and run more shorter races. Then the bombing happened at the Boston marathon. I had never wanted to run Boston before because it is such a large race but I always respected the race.
I trained hard enough for the next month and then suffered through an easy marathon to get my qualifier. Here's the thing, I did train, and I did earn the right to toe the line at Boston.
I am older (50) and don't train as much as I used to. I only run 40-50 miles per week. Rossi claims to have trained his ass off running 15 miles a week.
He bothers me so much because he appears to be a narcissistic sociopath, who attacks others rather than coming clean about his cheating.

Yes. But in the end, you know that my life is a fail. That should really be all the satisfaction you need.
But until then, I will take a selfie an hour baby.

I like you "i am rossi" - you are doing good work in my book. If only Mike took a selfie every hour during his race...
