Mike has competition for Champion of throwing cr@p to the wall and hoping something sticks.
Just a note - verify that other guy's age. Either there are two runners out there with that same name and hometown, or the dude gets younger as the years go by: 39 y/o Philadelphia 2012; 34 y/o New Jersey 2015. He ran as a masters in 2014.
Someone else had brought that up. Haven';t dug into that. I updated the post. And added in some interesting data on a half marathon time of his.
http://www.marathoninvestigation.com/2016/05/suspicious-boston-qualifying-result-for.htmlThis is really completely mind boggling to me. Even though I know we'll never get an answer, I'd really like to ask: what percentage of marathon cheaters do this for the sole purpose of qualifying for Boston?
99 percent? 100 percent?

Someone tell me what I'm looking at in this photo. It was submitted by someone to validate ability to complete a marathon in a specific time.
It just looks ....off
I am assuming this was manually entered..
Shows 16:43 for 3.1 miles in the summary
Looks legit. Good job! Probably one of Mike's friends and training partners.

Great work Derek. Your article is #2 under his search result in Google. That can't be good for his running coach business, unless you want to BQ by cheating like Mike Rossi. Probably a market for that advice.
As a general comment I saw today, made me think of Our Hero:
"Little people get bigger when no one is looking."
What day of the week does Mikey normally start drinking again (after his weekend breakdowns) and start posting on here? I know after the weekend there is always a few remorseful quiet days until he's back - the break is longer if he was super drunk and posted a lot - but is it normally Thursday or Friday? Tiny Mike is the toughest guy on the internet after a couple of bud lights, makes for fun reading.

How did Mikey do in the race today? I ask because I had money that he couldn't break 1:13:09.
1:09:24.
I have usually enjoyed my back & forth banter with the inebriated Mikey on this thread, but the above post really disappointed me. This wasn't just some kind of boastful comment, it was just a lazy lie.
He's falling so far behind now that he can't even point to something he's actually done, exaggerate it, and claim superiority. He just drunk lies now.

I don't know there is a regular pattern, haven't tracked that. Possibly more when he has a gig and works late. Probably overhears someone talking about 'that cheater dude' at a function. Great word of mouth advertising btw.
I don't think a single "friend" has come to his defense, certainly not publicly. At best they don't want any of his cheating association attached to them so try to ignore his weirdness. It is obvious some trolls - most of them Mike - try to enhance his glory but they are easy to spot and without any substance (proof he didn't cheat in form of photos, etc).

Been a long time since he even showed up at a race. I sort of expect him to make a public announcement that he will accept the $200k challenge for the publicity, but of course some ladies health issue will cause him to abort.

He is done. He cannot and will not register using his own name and in fact, he has already run one race under a different name. He knows that he will be derided, gawked at, taunted and publicly shamed and humiliated if he shows up at any race, and for good reason. I overheard his name being mentioned by several runners before and after the Broad Street Run, none of which comprised the twelve trolls here. While he may believe that his damaged reputation is relegated to just this blog, he is so very well known throughout this country and world for being a cheater and liar, at best.

Semi-serious question. Can he stoop lower? What would he have to do to get people to say "Wow, I didn't expect that. Even from Mike Rossi"
We are talking Subway Jared kind of stuff, right?

If he sold the sex tape he made with Ken, that would be unexpected. Not because he made a sex tape with Ken, the hostility between them is clearly a result of a bad break, but it would be unexpected that he'd let the world see his 45mm - he's not a fan of photographic/video evidence of the truth. I can already hear him trying to convince the people who are close to him - "it's 4.5 inches, not 4.5 centimetres, I swear, it's just a bad camera angle, I used a wide lens"
That or worse. Nothing would surprise me in the least EXCEPT if he admitted to the cheating, that is the only thing. He's capable of doing anything but that.

I still don't think it's fair to include a simple-minded weasel like Mike Rossi in the group as Lex Luthor, The Joker, The Riddler, and so on

Well no, those are comic book super villains, Mike is a simple a$$ clown but he has a wannabetoughguy side. Posting pictures of the 45mm and ham for example....and calling Cecily a "ho" but not showing up on race day to tell it to her in person. King Putz, Our Hero!
Well we know that he identifies as a transwoman, a latina woman more times than not. So perhaps he made pull a Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner, not that there is anything wrong with that, lol.
Comes to mind the 3:25 may be cheater/liar/clown Mike Rossi's ultimate goal if he has one. That would be well within his capabilities IF BIG IF he previously ran a legit 3:42 (some question about that as well) but a walk in the park for a 3:11 dude.
Don't forget his "3:11:45" was done on a warm, humid day. Thank god for a/c to keep the core temp down.
This would give him enough cred among his dumba$$ followers to justify his cheating while pocketing 10k for what should be an easy payday.
Since he has not accepted any of the challenges it is doubtful and will do so publicly.
From LR: "Rossi still has the opportunity until July 15, 2016, to prove LetsRun.com wrong by running a full marathon in either under 3:25:00, which would earn him $10,000, or 3:11:45, which would earn him $100,000. We’re so confident that it’s physiologically impossible for Rossi to have run 3:11:45 that we are going to double our sub-3:11:45 challenge to $200,000. If Rossi breaks 3:11:45 by July 15, 2016, we’ll pay him $100,000 and pay $100,000 to Via of the Lehigh Valley, the charity behind the Lehigh Valley Marathon.*
In pursuit of the cash he could get Marlon Bascombe to coach him. Both are versed in the ways of missed photos and the manipulation of Nike data.

Not sure Mike needs any help, he's got a driver/video guy on the team already and has been successful covering his crimes against running at least in the area of not getting any DQs.
Marlon and Kip should consider paying for his consultation services, Mike may have stumbled/driven into a lucrative career, plus perhaps a finder's fee for the AOL lawyer?
