The leaders ran at least five minutes slower than they were capable of on a perfect NYCM day, so was my 2:53 worth a 2:48? (Or, proportionately, a 2:46??)
Of course not. I am sure that with the weather being what it was the big boys completely laid of on time-chasing and focused on a tactical RACE. (Meanwhile, like most joggers, I still tried to time-trial the FASTEST marathon I could...in the conditions.)
Thoughts? People who ran the race and people who love running stats, I want to hear from you! :)
