Kebede and Kimetto are competing at Berlin. Both are asking pacers for world record pace. With good weather, the world record could very likely go down. You have 2 capable athletes, instead of 1 capable athlete and some pacers.

The guy that holds the world record in the road 30km should be in the mix, if he has a good day.

Kebede hasn't really shown that he's a world record threat. He's more likely to get a win simply because the runners in front of him fall off world record pace.

where are the Americans?

The American list came out last week. Keflezighi, Vail, Arciniaga, K Goucher, Desi Linden, Lauren Kleppin, Annie Bersagel, Deena Kastor.

I would tend to agree, Kimetto definitely has a shot, but Kebede is an amazing racer, but I'm not sure that he's got a 2.03 in him.

Interesting field for the mens side! Meb isn't in top shape I don't believe, I think he'll run 2:12.High

2:09 in NYC gets you top 3 almost every year. You think Vail is going to make top 3?

the amount that Mutai obliverated the course record by was just outstanding. What makes it even better is how he dropped everyone in the final 15 km of the race including more than a minute on both Emmanuel and Geb Geb.

Has the full compiled elite startlist with foreign and domestic been released yet for NYC?
