It's 4:45 am right now as I start typing this. (On my phone actually on dim)
I have been laying in bed wide awake since around 3:15 am. The same crap happened yesterday, and the day before. First off you all can rest assured that I'm NOT overtraining. I'm currently running 50 MPW base
(My weeks consist of 2 harder sub LT runs, a long run and the rest easy runs ain't with a strengthening program)
Why I KNOW I'm not overtraining:
I take my pulse about through out the week. Sometimes indo what's called a lying/standing HR check. I use my Garmin HR monitor and I lay down (making sure I'm properly hydrated) for 5 minutes my heart rate dips to around 38 BPM a couple times but stays around 39-40. I stand up then take it after 15 secs. I get around 44. 60 secs later it's 41 BPM.
I heard if you overtrain your resting HR is elevated. Right how, as I am MAKING this post, my HR is around 40 or so the very moment...either way I'm doing mostly easy stuff right now!
I'm an 18 year old male...
I go to bed around 10:00-10:30 PM each night. I have no trouble falling asleep and I'm asleep by about 10-15mins. Problem is I manage to wake up without fail at 3am. I feel I can't recover properly this way and it's taking a toll on me. I end up forgetting stuff and get sleepy throughout the day!
Anyone else having this problem?
No I don't need to pee, I actually wake up thirsty...
Any ideas why this keeps happening?! Thanks!
