I hate that Letsrun likes nick Willis so much, but seriously, no one can fvck with the great season that he's having.
Why do u hate the fact we admire him? He's a non-AFrican born runner who went to the school in the States and has lived over here for 10+ years and is incredibly good. I'm surprised the guy isn't more popular in the States.
In many ways, it can easily be argued that he's more Americanized than Bernard Lagat was when Lagat switched to the US in 2005 at age 30. Willis has been here longer as he's 31.

Earlier in the season he was talking about moving up to the 5k for commonwealth games, almost as if he thought he didn't have a shot in 1500 anymore. Maybe he did a bunch of 5k work and is benefiting from some extra strength?
Strength = speed.
He might think he's got a decent shot in a slow kicker's race in a 5k. Remember as fast as he ran yesterday, he was only 7th!! Now that's hard to believe.

I am quite confident Nick Willis is a PED-free athlete. I can say that about very few if any of those who finished ahead of him in this race or who regularly beat him on "the circuit"...
So a 31 yr old sets a PB, my goodness check out all the crap about Gatlin's time in the 200m on these MBs. But with Willis no questions. Only questions about guys who regularly beat him? Right.........
I find these posts laughable. Willis is an athlete about whom I wouldn't hesitate half a second to bet my actual life on that he's clean. It wouldn't even require thought for me. Many other athletes would require a huge hesitation.
I do think talk about Gatlin is a bit overblown (you always here how he's a two time doper but we never hear about Ohrugou's 1 year ban on the BBC) but he deserves it by getting a 4 year ban.

PS. Yes I'm biased. I'll never forget the summer before Willis came to the US, he was at a Can Am-Maine meet and asked to have his picture taken with me and my brother as he said we were famous. I laughed and said, "I'm the one happy to get my picture taken with a 4 minute HS miler."
Rojo you're right on the money with this one. I too would bet anything that Willis is clean. It just stacks up that this performance was on the cards if he was healthy.
