What a run for both of them!!!!
What a run for both of them!!!!
They didn't list Rowbury's time or, certainly not, Hasay, though I could swear that the announcer said at the startline that Hasay was going for the AR, while Huddle was the current record holder. Well, Huddle ran 14:42 for another AR, as I predicted, and Rowbury was not far behind her in a big pr. Huddle's having another great year.
ditto to Rowbury.
Hasay realized in time she don't belong and quit
what was the previous record?
14:44
Well done.

Huddle runs away from Rowbury to AR!!!!!!!!
What a run for both of them!!!!
Shannon Rowbury with an enormous PR, 12 second pr for 14:48.68. Major props to her!!
Great achievement for both Huddle and Rowbury. I wonder given Rowbury's sub 4 1500 whether she might be able to get into the 14:30s, which would put her in the running in most 5000s. As for Huddle, this race coupled with her great results in road races this year suggest a US record in the 10000 might be in the offing.
tough day for conley...
Incredible race or her!
Of course, any high profile Kenyan collegiates go on to break 14:40:
4. Sally KIPYEGO KEN 85 14:37.18
5. Betsy SAINA KEN 88 14:39.49 PB
Saina joins Kipyego with this feat.
Salazar's doing great so far in getting Rowbury to her time goals. First, she breaks 4 with a 3:59, gets an AR at 2M, and now crushes 15. I am also glad that she was rewarded for sitting on Huddle with an American record, because the latter had to work quite a bit on her own with Rowbury drafting. But congratulations to Rowbury, who has worked hard for years and is now at her best, five years after her medal.
Nice to see my girl G Dibaba get the win.
This should not be a real surprise for Rowbury - she has a 3000m PR of 8.30. That has to be worth a sub- 14.50, and that was a while back.
Hasay does not yet belong in European DL races. Better that she goes on the B circuit for a while, or her chances to run in DL meets again (except US ones) will dry up.
Does Roxbury now have a faster pr than flanagan
time for rowbury to start challenging for the 5k AR and only use the 1500 for sharping. She needs to get the 1500 out of her head...but then again her chances are actually better to medal in the 1500

No, Flanagan has run 14:45ish. A couple times I believe (too lazy to look up atm).
Flanagan--14:44.80, 2007; 14:45.20, 2011
