48 wins the olympics every year. 52 (that's what sub-53 means -- not 53) is world class and gets you into most pro races. 52.35 was the olympic B so that by definition is world class. find some other nit to bitch about.
also, cain most likely can split a 53 but i would be surprised if she could go 52. if she had 52 speed, she would be running her 800s faster given her 1500 and 5000 times.
