Who?
sub 3:50 outdoor.
Nice to see him break through with a big win.
Great run by Leer. However, it's looking like every other year recently. He'll peak too soon, miss every World team by 1 or 2 places, and blame it on someone else.
i see a bronze medal at WC. after all those 4th places at US championships, you have to root for him. good guy
it's a big day for mustaches/beards everywhere
2-3 second indoor PB for him, plus a big win.
the question is...does he now have to keep the beard?
Pretty awesome. Leer just doesn't have the insane kick a 100% Manzano or 100% Centro has. He needs better tactics in those real tactical races. A race like this is his best shot, it's super fast but not insane. He positions well and then still has life left in his legs when others are fading.
Just lucky that Lalang tanked at the end.

Double US indoor champ last year and Oxy 1500m winner over Rupp, Lomong, Manzano, Centro, etc. Hardly his "break through".
Wannamaker over Willis is arguably a bigger win. Great to see Warhurst working some magic here (great comment about "Stay Off the rail!" directed as a rib at Willis)

i would hope so. his pb is 3:35
mile brah, mile.
Could be looking at 3:31-3:30 15. Like to see him on the Paris track or Manaco do something fast.
SAGEHENS FTW! CHIRP CHIRP
This is why Nick Willis is not a legend. Just not dominant. As up and down as Manzano.

Who would you consider a legend? Kiprop?
Ugh. Is he that guy with the douche, hipster mustache and sideburns? 3:52 or not, that look is lame.
Biggest career win for Leer, and best wishes to finally make a US team.
Full beard now.

This.
Dude never peaks when it counts. He'll run a hobby-jogger race at nationals and never make a Worlds team.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
