I guess you didn't read the article. A larger does doesn't fix the problem - the meds just don't work on them.

Lets not be so quick to report this as fact yet. MotherJones appears to have been first to report this and some other websites have picked it up, from MotherJones. I can not find the original press release or any more credible sources to back up this claim.
Also, there is no physiologic reason that I can think of for this - especially against the claim that a larger dose is ineffective.
Lets just wait to see how this actually plays out and not put the cart before the horse.

In the UK there are two types of (pill form) emergency contraception.
Levonelle is already known to be less effective for obese women, but it seems Ella-One doesn't have this issue.
