My SAT score is 37 points higher than my 5k PR. Both are in the mid 14's.

Good performance question at the bar:
Hey - is your SAT greater than your 5km time?
we talking out of 1600 or 2400?
one way my 5k is much faster, one way much slower
SAT = 1480 (15:20)
5k = 15:22

Well, congratulations. You're a phenomenal specimen. Moderately intelligent, and moderately smart. Your parents are proud, I'm sure! Lolz, this is the most typical letsrun post.

My SAT score doesn't comapre to my 5K PR. The performances were measured in different and incomparable units.

If 1480 = 15:20, what is a 1520 worth?

SAT scores and 5k PRs are the two things that hypercompetitive Aspergers weirdos demand to know when you're in high school. Then it changes to where you went to college and your marathon PR as you get older.
National Merit requires the SAT with writing now, which is the only one I took. Technically the only requirement is that your SAT score exceed 2100, and that your original PSAT score exceeds the Semifinalist cutoff each year (which tends to vary by state)
2300 vs. 16:30 for me.
If you only count the Critical Reading and Math Scores though, then it's 1520 vs. 16:30
Is there an IAAF scoring table for the SAT?
