I have a hard time taking anyone seriously who lists fat tire as a favorite beer. It always seems to me like the first "micro brew" people have when they are used to drinking bud. It's ok, but there is so much beer out there that is better.
Letsruns official beer though, should be a homebrew. Doesn't matter who's homebrew, just a homebrew. The reason is that we all know how to do everything better than the people who do the same thing for a living and are incredibly succesful.
Why would I waste my time drinking some swill made by a guy with 20 years of experience and a brewology degree when I know how to do it better myself?
Well, this is definitely where my vote is going.
It should be Ninkasi's "Total Domination IPA" made in Tracktown, USA.

PBR? Man, I hope not. I do realize that many of you are poor college people, but my mainstay is always Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I can see that NOT being the Letsrun official beer though, but with the Sierra Nevadas there is elevation, so I'll make that pitch.
I have a hard time taking anyone seriously who lists fat tire as a favorite beer.

If you choose who to take seriously based on the beer they drink, you might want to do some more soul-searching.

hmm. having lived in belgium for 19 years, i would venture i have a bit more experience with these "better" beers than you do. fat tire remains my favorite beer in terms of a quality/cost ratio. you seem like an elitist prick who is mad because nobody wants to have a beer with you
Mountain Ice Beer, $2 a six pack available exclusively at Saratoga Springs-based Stewart's Shops- hey, Genny brews it!
Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm
It has little sports icons on the can including running- I have theorized that these are the activities you can't do after polishing off a six pack of the swill

To end the whole 26.2 debate, I went on the Sam Adams Tour last Saturday and sampled the 26.2.
It is only about 3-4% alcohol because they felt the runners would get hammered post race (don't see the problem there?) and it comes of a bit fruity. I like it though. I ordered one later that night on tap at Remy's.
I work for boston beer and can say that yes we did indeed release the 26.2 brew, but only a limited batch for the Boston market .
Oh crap, here come the beer snobs. Yes, lets nominate a beer that 1% of the population has heard of, or even tried....

That's great. Drink it you ass hole.
PBR is actually one of my favorite beers. Smooth, nice finish, cheap, yet has some flavor. Pretty much perfect for a beer.
....if you're a pussy.
So what beer should I be drinking to make me appear manly?
PBR! If it's good enough for Clint, it's more than good enough for the pansy lot of you.
Yuengling! If it's not available where you live, then you're not a real man. Consult Flagpole's rules for manhood.
