We all know it's PBR, right? I mean, that's pretty much the universally accepted beer for beer mile and 100 in 100 attempts.

PBR? Man, I hope not. I do realize that many of you are poor college people, but my mainstay is always Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I can see that NOT being the Letsrun official beer though, but with the Sierra Nevadas there is elevation, so I'll make that pitch.
If any of you skeezers ever come across this, buy it. buy it all. horde it. do not share with crumby friends.
I would think Stone's flagship, 'A r r o g a n t B a s t a r d' universally describes the letsrun attitude.
Miller High Life
Sierra Nevada is nice, but I'd nominate any of the following
New Belgium Fat Tire or 1554
Snake River OB-1 (absolutely my all time favorite)
Yellowstone Valley Brewing Renegade Red or Black Widow Stout (both are consistently at the top of tasters choice competitions regionally)
budlight platinum
How about a good honest brew...Genny Cram Ale.
Koch's Golden Anniversary
If it was a regular, not special edition, the Sam Adams 26.2 would have been a good choice.

I love me some PBR, but I'm pretty sure it's ineligible for the beer mile due to low ABV.

No PBR. If LRC is looking for a sponsor, then it has to be a mainstream like: Coors Light, Bud Light, Miller Light, etc.
Please none of those...Yuck!
Sam Adams is an improvement, Sierra Nevada Pale is a huge improvement. Longhammer from RedHook (which has a distribution contract with Bud) would be a deeper pocket.
Id like to see Firestone Union Jack IPA. I love that stuff. A bit high on the ABV at 7.5%, but very nice flavor.

I drink more than my fair share of Fat Tire as it is carried by my local Sports Bar hangout. I would vote for it.
I agree though that Arrogant B*stard might best reflect the posters of Letsrun AND it is a good beer.
To the dude that mentioned 26.2. Did you get to try that? How was it? I was hoping they were going to distribute but never saw any here in the Midwest.
haha, the filter won't let me type B*stard.
It didn't make it out of Boston as far as I know. I'm outside Philly and I didn't see it around here.
Might I humbly suggest Yeungling? It's just as cheap as Bud, Miller, etc., but much better. A good working class beer.
There are a number of possible choices, here. Basically any beer that pretends to be better than it is would be a good official beer.
Blue Moon might be a good choice. A cheap macro that pretends to be a quality Belgian Wheat. People who don't know much about beer think it's great. Anyone with some experience knows that there are about a hundred beers in the same category that are much better.

So many better microbrews in Colorado in my opinion. Fat Tire is certainly not a bad beer, but I've always thought it was overrated. I much prefer New Belgium's Ranger IPA, but I also like hoppy beers more than ambers. Odell's, another Fort Collins brewery, puts out some outstanding brews. I'm also a big fan of Ska's beers out of Durango. Fortunately, it's a great time to enjoy good beer in the U.S.
In terms of a Letsrun beer, Eugene City Brewery used to have some track-themed beers before Rogue took it over. Perhaps Rogue kept some of those beers?

I think we have a winner. Nice job!

Eugene City does still make 100m and 200m ales. I think they might be seasonals, because I see the 200m ale about once a year in Colorado.
