yup, they feel very similar to the old zoom elites...definitely my new favorite trainer. firm and responsive.
definately worth the buy??? i HATE all the lunar glides/swifts/etc. just awful shoes. Ive been trainin in the peguses, so would the elites be a good equal for a racing shoe? i cant wear flats...
which version of the old zoom elites? those were my favorite pair of shoes of all time

People are comparing it to the 4, some even think it's better.

They're very nice, but wouldn't say they're that similar. Softer in the forefoot, softer in the arch, no medial post, uppers feels utterly different.
Firm in the heel and a good trainer esp for LRC crowd but a million miles from a racer really.
hmm. I was hoping the 1 or 2. No posting either. Oh well. I think I'm going to give the lunar fly 3 a try.

I would agree with nffc1865 - they aren't similar to any of the old Zoom Elites. Wider last, especially through the midfoot. Softer midsole throughout. No medial post.
You can definitely get some up tempo work in them. Overall I am enjoying them. Took them out Sunday for their first run and had not issues after 16 miles - no rubbing from the upper or any other complaints.
Definitely better than any of the lunar series shoes.
bump, id like to hear more on the shoe if anyone has more information/opinions
At 10.7 oz it's not real light for a performance trainer.
Running Warehouse lists it at 9.9 ounces. Where did you hear 10 + from?

Looks like a piece of trash. I remember the original Zoom Elites (late 90's early 00's). My favorite shoe of all time. I bought like 10 pair and was pretty bummed when I found out I couldn't get any more. Awesome shoes back then.
Just got a pair today and took them out for an easy 6 miles. They felt decent right out of the box. They are a VERY different shoe than the Zoom Elite 4. Lower profile, no medial post and a much wider last. I have very narrow feet and although I didn't have any problems with these, they definitely don't fit as well as the Zoom Elite 4 did. The new Elites only have air in the forefoot. The Zoom Elite 4 either had 3/4 length or full air, I don't recall.
They are lighter and fairly responsive, definitely not as bulky.
Hard to take advice about a shoe from a chump as slow as you.Any real runners out there have an opinion on these? They look well enough to be an everyday trainer.

What is the heel-to-toe drop anyways on these? Runningwarehouse says 9mm but a runners world review says like 13mm. Anyone know? Do they feel low to the ground?
