What about Providence? some people had them close to cracking the top ten, but they were nowhere close, their big two who went 1,2 at Regionals-McLaren and Smith were 209 and 239 respectively, ouch

wow - how about the american performance in general? top 4 - when was the last time the USA went top 4....
i think it may be time to say the resurgence in american mid/distance running is here to stay.
"They have no guts on the team and no one willing to step up and race at the front. Todays race only went out in 15:08 for the first 5K. They should have had everyone there. Sad. McD should be ripping their a--es right now."
-agreed. you can bet that john will be hoarse tomorrow morning. quite a long trip back for those gutless lads.
Did you notice that Tresa McWalters collapsed BEFORE the finish line, got up an made it to the line and then was dragged to the side of the shoot like a dead body? Explains he 43rd place.
Torchia - it is true.
David Chichir runs 15:24 for the first 5k and 14:55 for the second passing over 85 runners, that is outstanding!

David Chirchir finished over 100th at pre-nats in his race and got 21st today.
I defy you to find a better performance than that.
WAHOOS!!!!

I don't think OK State was necessarily that much of a surprise to those who were in the know. Maybe a small surprise, but they were ranked 4th earlier this year.
I think maybe Arkansas blow-up was a big surprise to a lot of people. John McDonell almost always has his guys ready to go for the big dance.
Really? Where the f*** were you all year when people were giving them absolutely no respect? No surprise? f*** you all, I didn't hear anybody picking Okstate up there. None of you letsrun posters have a clue what you're talking about so you can all get f***ed.

forgetyou, why are you so angry? i'm sorry you are having a bad day, but it's ok, you are a genuine person and have a lot to offer. keep your head high.
I knew Florida State's women were solid but third overall was impressive; I belive 3/4 top teams from the women's race were from the Pac-10; BYU has really fallen off; Bad day for Colorado too.
Men: OK State, Alabama 6th, Gophers 8th, Cal Poly was impressive; Arkansas meltdown, Stanford bad; Colorado sub-par; Texas sub-par; Iowa State DFL.
One of the most bashed teams on the forum did well...Lady Baylor Bears-received last bid in, ranked 30th or 31st, finished in 17th, one all american and one near all american.
In no particular order:
Withrow's lack of a top 10 finish, OSU, Kinsella, and Stanford's late season meltdown
Saw OK State race at the Jamoboree. They didn't look too impressive. Granted, that was early. At the time they were 8th or 9th I think and I remember thinking "these guys are over-rated."
didn't they win the jamboree over a higher ranked Arkansas? From what I remember, that is what happened.
by getting the tie-breaker over Abilene Christian. I also thought, Arkansas is much more over-rated, and that turned out to be right.

Chir CHir from ok state is no surprise, that guy is 25 or 26 if im not mistaken, I would say 21st is a disappointment against children when your 25!
ROLL TIDE.....ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha(deep, godly laugh)!
Just a quick what if about OKie States 3rd place finish, Iona's 2nd and 3rd place finishers, were basically signed sealed and delivered to OK State, Admin dropped the ball and didn't admit them and they went to Iona.......
