Anyone?
OSU surprise of the day? The Villanova runner?

Definitely Ok. State. Don't think Curtis was much of a surprise. More surprising to me was the lack of how some of the higher ranked teams performed.
Minnesota with a pretty awesome day, as well.

I don't think OK State was necessarily that much of a surprise to those who were in the know. Maybe a small surprise, but they were ranked 4th earlier this year.
I think maybe Arkansas blow-up was a big surprise to a lot of people. John McDonell almost always has his guys ready to go for the big dance.
Stanford as the 19th place men's team.
McWalters finishing way back on the women's side.
Arkansas and Stanford - not what they used to be.
Wasn't Neff second last year - he was 50th this year.
Iowa's Nukuri?
if Bildeau had run to his potention UVA might have been 6th
oh well
next year
i definately agree that okie state is no surprise, take a look at regional results, no surprise at all
Oregon woman competing so well against the dynasty known as Stanford. Really happy for Blood that she's starting to show a lot of excellent progress, and Kosinski for being top true freshman after having that really bad foot injury that kept her out of CA state last year.
david kinsella 8th and leading the race through 5k
surprises:
1.) arkansas SUCKING- you know they are geting their asses chewed as we speak
2.) withrow nowhere to be seen
3.) stanford and colorado underperforming (excluding vaughn)
4.)frosh mcneil from nau
5.) how puffy craig virgin looked
How about Colorado getting 7th. They were one of the big three favored to win. Their girls didn't do too hot either, except for Barringer.
Anybody notice the Arkansas girls finished higher than the boys? haha, I'm sure they're loving that.
OK State did a good job. They definitely looked tough at Regionals, but I don't think anyone new how good they were/are. They have been 10th and 8th in recent years though.
Overall I found myself surpised a lot as I scrolling through the results because their were so many good teams this year. In some cases, 10 pounts would have moved a team up 2 or 3 places. That's crazy. Sheesh, if one runner has a bad day it could cost the team 5-10 places. That's a little scary.
Out of the big 4 (Arkansas, Stanford, Wisconsin, Colorado) Wisconsin was the top finisher at 6th place! Wow. Looks like a new era of NCAA running.

Time get some more kenyans! (Maybe toss in a South African or two, maybe an Irishman if all else fails.)I\'m sure McDonnell is booking his plane ticket now for a big recruiting trip.

He should probably stay away from the Irish. Arkansas has enough drunks on the team as it is.
OK State rocking people, Colorado making me look like an idiot for picking them to win, and also, I think, McDougal finally winning a championship. At least I was surprised.
Alabama had a great day.
When is the last time Ok State beat Colorado in ANY XC race?
What happened to Liz Costello from Princeton??? Number 2 at Regionals, and today finished 209???? Her 1st 2 splits looked at least respectable, but then the wheels fell off... that killed princeton's team chances.
Emma Coburn to miss Olympic Trials after breaking ankle in Suzhou
Jakob on Oly 1500- “Walk in the park if I don’t get injured or sick”
VALBY has graduated (w/ honors) from Florida, will she go to grad school??
Congrats to Kyle Merber - Merber has left Citius for position w/ Michael Johnson's track league
1:49.84 - 800m Freshmen National Record - Cooper Lutkenhaus (check this kick out!!)
