first i want to say excuse my english am from Naarden which is small city in netherland
7 months ago, my high school sport teacher persuaded me to join a track and field club because i was the fastest in my class an he said i have a great potential because i also have a Gymnastics background ( i did 4 years of gymnastics when i was younger),
now 15 days ago after about 6 months of continuous training, i did run 52.3 for 400 in training, and i also ran 1.56.8 in my first 800 competition (8th place but i did run with older runners (seniors not juniors) and i didnt run smartly i tried to stick with them, but they were way better than me and after 600 meters i was dead and i did run the last 200 in about 31 to finish last in the race.
the problem is that nobody cares about me in that small Club and its the only one in my city, there is no juniors just seniors some runners even hates me because i did improve quickly, anyway this is what i did in those 6 months
i train 5 days / week.
day 1 : heats.
day 2 : speed training (40's, 60's and 80's)
day 3 : 4x400 and 4x200 intervals,
day 4 : day 5 : GYM
day 5 : speed training + intervals
day 6 : i run about 10 Miles at a slow pace.
day 7 : rest and study
could i please have your opinion about my resutls, 52 for 400 and 1:56 for 800, and could an experimented 800 runner give me a good training program to follow, i dont want to return to this club this year, i want to train alone and comeback in the end of the season to smoke everybody in the 800.
also do i really have potential ? if i continue training hard what could i run at age 18 for example ? for 800 ? , i mean what kind of improvements i can expect in about 2 years ?
