Carlson brought him along very well, with the time he had available for running. But D Ritz is killing it. Look at his runners in the mile tonight. Mario Garcia Romo broke a 40-year old Spanish record. (Announcer said it belonged to José Manuel Abascal but I thought I was José Luis González)
He opened in a fast 1:53.84 for half mile (804.67 m), and closed in a fast 54.23 for the last quarter mile (402.335 m), that 3/4 mile split was only 59.32

Count up how many American and country records just this one evening.
What a difference: When you're a pre-med at Notre Dame, and when running is your profession.
When I think that, I also think of Hocker and Teare. Nuguse has outgrown them both.
Honestly, it’s not even close. I really thought Hoare was going to show he was a men among boys today, but what we all witnessed was the moment when Yared Nuguse became the only true threat to Jakob this summer and next. Next thing you know, he’s going to be the favorite. Nuguse is an other worldly talent. Think how little he has trained in his life compared to Jakob. This is going to be the real rivalry from here on out, and I think even at distances up to and including the 5000 if Yared cares to try.

When you guys went crazy for Hocker a couple of years ago I thought you'd all gone nuts, just overhyping out of desperation. But now, I think it's time to say America has a guy in the 1500
