Many runners including myself don't use GPS on the track because it winds up being inaccurate and I already know how far I'm running. Regardless of how you feel about Shelby, 10x600 from 1:45 to 1:39 is a perfectly realistic workout for a 3:54 runner (not that she's in that shape right now, but still).

Many don't like to "race" with a watch on either. It seems like when she has posted pictures of the "race" times it's been from a non-GPS watch.

Not saying it’s what she’s doing, but I also do this all the time. I already know how exactly far I’m running on the track so I don’t need GPS. And if I have someone else timing, I don’t even bother with a watch. But I’m not posting my workouts on Strava though, so who knows…

I don’t think she’s faking it, she posts some pretty insane tempos to strava, and she is a super-talented runner
Why would someone question her integrity?
Regardless of what shape she is in, when her ban is up, the burrito is all people will talk about if and when she races.

Not that she (or anyone really) cares, but to me it completely ruins Shalane's reputation. Calls not just the NYC win, but her entire career into question.
