Obiri always looks like she’s working so hard, slightly hunched, giant arm swing and head bobbing all over the place. Seems like a lot of extra energy expended.
Ayala of Paraguay went out crazy quick (for the conditions), miles ahead of the rest of the field and then stepped off the course as soon as he got to the halfway marker.
They said Do Nascimento ran 4:53 for 6th and 4:17 for 7th mile but no way that is right. Probably the 6th mile was long. They need to have a little thought before they say that.
Very very surprised to see Bates already unattached. Would like to think it’s smart racing but…not so sure
She races very smart. She may be having the bad day, but I give her the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.
Very true. And she’s good at hills/heat. Just seems a little early and a conservative enough pace that she should still be with them. But agreed she is a smart racer so I’m hoping she’s just not having a bad day and is racing smart
Des pushing off the front. Not the couple foot gap that Frisbe was holding, this looks sizeable. Funny that no one is going with her. Isn't this how she won Boston?
No, that's not how she won Boston. She won Boston because she could withstand the weather while the others couldn't.

Predicting a blowup from Nell. Training from her Sweat Elite videos looked really laboured and constant comments about being too tired/feeling heavy even last week: doesn't sound promising for when the race really starts at Mile 20+
