I don't know why so many people in this thread are claiming that running 100+ per week easy will only make you good at ultras or doing high volume. That's not correct. I wonder if they've actually done that much volume. It leads to much greater aerobic fitness. Our bodies respond to increasing stress. Upping volume is certainly a major aspect of stress on the body. It will adapt and you will become more aerobically fit if you've built up and are ready for that stimulus. Period. If what all of you say is true, then we should almost never go on easy runs. We should just do quality all the time because easy runs only make us good at running easy, right? No. Lol just no.
