For the record since my prediction post was deleted #49. I picked Rosemary Wanjiru for the win, sorry Keira. I picked Kipchoge, but wasn't close to the WR time.
Lesson learned = Never underestimate Kipchoge and Never pick an American woman over the continent of Africa.
Well, you could pick American woman if there is some unpleasant circumstances like Boston 2018.
Stood up all morning in California watched the race from beginning to end. Kipchoge doesn't cease to amaze me. He does it every year, and another World Record. This may be his last race. You just never know. But I enjoyed it.
They ought to name the Berlin Marathon after Kipchoge, there is no better way to honor him.
I believe from what I observed is that 3 African women broke the Women's WR, and D'Amato looked wasted toward the end but she finished honorably under 2:22.
And Kipchoge ran more than half the race by himself. The second place male finisher was more than a mile behind, and looked way more exhausted than Kipchoge.
And finally Kipchoge let out that big smile toward the End. An Overall classy guy is Kipchoge, A true Cha;mpion if there ever was one and a mighty warrior.
Lots of threads here on it. Early Sweat Elite was outright lying about elite training plans. Then he was sleeping around with athletes in the groups he was trying to film and was pretty much banned from being around any of the big US-based training groups.

Still can't get over Kipchoge's trampoline shoes from WR perspective. Not denying he is the GOAT but how much better is his time really compared to Kimetto's time wearing Adidas Boost?
It looks like Kipchoge was wearing the public version of the Alphafly 2??? A lot of people were knocking those for being too heavy and too “watered down” for the benefit the masses. Does it appear to everyone else that’s what he was wearing?

I'm not buying the whole 60:50 thing now. No way Kipchoge just talked these guys into running flat at their flat out half marathon PBs, and further, just on a whim.
We know for a fact that Kipchoge gets special shoes, since it was reported for one of his previous marathons that his shoes had a special-made lighter upper.
