Yes. It was a legendary performance because he was clearly struggling but still managed to play pretty well and his sheer tenacity helped the team get the win. Running doesn’t work like that. If Kerr has the flu he would get crushed and there would be no point.
Also, Jordan was playing in an important post season game — not an early season indoor track meet. Jordan would have skipped a regular season game if he felt like that.
