Sumgong and Keitany have a lead of 12 seconds through 23 miles. Mile 23 was 5:10! So they just ran 10:32 for the last two miles.

Sumgong/Keitany are 27 secs up on third , Sara Moreira. If Moreira hangs on for third (she's six secs up on Prokopcuka in fourth), that's a fantastic debut.

Gebre Gebremerrien (spelling completely wrong) has looked very comfortable at the back of the pack.

Correction on my typing. Desisa missed his bottle at 30k but Gebremariam gave him one.

In the mixup Micah Kogo clipped Desisa but they just stumbled.

What did I tell you? You would miss the men's action because the women dont' start enough ahead.

NYRR - please start the men first next year and start them at least 45 minutes before the women. Then we can watch both.

ESPN viewers are missing the action. The men's camera seems to be out so even if the women weren't finsihing, you'd still be missing it.
