Willis beats Centro, again

first, i have not watched the interviews. sorry for that ("nevertheless, i guess..."!).

second, i am pretty sure my post does not show any sign of disrespect or hate.

Willis great, Centro is great. I think relative to PB's, Centro has achieved more during his career up to this meet.

This meet, Centro did run for gold and fell short, perhaps missing his chance at a medal. Maybe if he ran like Willis he would have picked one up. Most surely would have been closer to the top 3. Willis ran more conservative and bypassed a more aggressive Centro. Both finished out of medals with different agendas. I don't think Willis really thought he would get gold with his strategy, but probably just hoping to snipe enough people rigging up to get a medal. Centro did that in the past and got what, 3rd, 4th & 2nd?

It works. But at least once, Centro ran for gold and can know that he did. Maybe he will go back to this old M.O. in Rio. Not knocking Willis, but it's good to go for gold once in a while, even if you're a long shot.

Willis is almost as overrated on these boards as Kevin Sullivan. Willis pretty much stinks in the Worlds/Olympics. Credit to him for getting moved up to 2nd in the Olympics. The field was atrocious that race. With 4 cracks at the apple, Centro has finished 4th or better 3 times. With his latest 6th, Willis has finished 6th or worst at global championships 7 of 8 times in his career. He's also 5 years older than Centrowitz.

Once again, Nick beats the cheating punkassbitch midget guido.

that's right. 4:01 at 17, 3:29 twice, Olympic silver, and a very decisive winner at Fifth Avenue Mile again, this time dominant enough to celebrate and slow down well before the finish. Was that his best kick of the year? Maybe his speed training started too late this year and he didn't get the full effects until now, because he just left Centro in the dust within a few strides.
