Because 1) for the sake of this thread, I purely want to maximize my odds of winning, and still think Kessler is the 3rd most likely to win in spite of his somewhat disappointing 3k opener: he was 2nd in this race last year in 3:48.66–and 2) 3:47.56 is a satisfying number.

As the biggest Kessler shill ever on here, I don't think that is happening. That's been discussed. The talent is no different, the training surely is, he was in a really good spot last week and could not punch down a sub 29 flat even. It was not a horrific result and not a distance that I believe he cannot carry, but it looked flat. I try to call it like I see it most of the time. 1:43.x twice and 3:29.x does not go away, second race off new program? I would be impressed with anything under or at 3:50. The Armory is not BU, by a bit? I think most agree. Why you might say, you are making excuses. It's a shift built for the long haul, sometimes it looks sideways. I will be there tomorrow first Millrose in 22 years.

As bizzare as that was to have to read? I could see Nuguse running under 3:47.00. I do think what people ignore or forget, this is a long year and early for most.
