Kiprop will win because he is pissed off lately and is not gonna take no bullshit from Nijel. And because Aman isn't in it.
Or else he will run 1:46 for dead last. But I think the fast Kiprop will show up.

Remember when Kiprop tried to double at the WC and ran something like 1:52 in the semi?
Dope
is Rudisha not racing?

A classic case of running off PURE HATE! Go Kiprop!

No, a classic case of Bad Wigins, who knows nothing about the sport, trying to be right. He is essentially saying that Kiprop will run well, or....well....he won't. A waste of a thread.
Kiprop will run 1:52 because he will fall asleep in the 3rd 200
Get lost ventolin3. Go study 12th grade maths.
Kiprop is better than he was when he ran 1:43.15 behind Rudisha. He could run 1:42 easily.

Kiprop will NEVER run 1:42. It simply is never going to happen. Of course I am not ventolin, as that dope is even further out of touch with reality than you are.
why do you keep using my name

what I meant was you're an azzhole, but of course that was a bit too subtle for you. If you want to troll, learn how first. You suck.

He is obviously out to run a crazy fast 800 to cure his laziness so he can make a real 1500 WR attempt.
He could run 1:41. In 2011 he started slow and at the end was closing down Rudisha. If he'd paced it properly he'd have won.
Bad Wigins is really a bad poster. No brains and junior high insults.

asbel has a love/hate relationship with 800
for a start, he doesn't know how to run it
his brace of 1'43-flats were that of a novice 800 guy
he approached them like a 1500 excepting a very, very fast 1st lap but then typical 1500 mentality of kicking last 200
no clue that to run best 800, you have to follow pacer as close as possible to bell, meaning 50-low/mid & then no backing off waiting to try & kick last 200 - it's a question of keeping going at the bell & hanging on for dear life
he said coupla years ago he wanted to do 800/1500 double at majors but then let that fizzle out
he then ran poor 1'45 last year just month before his 3'27
he sometimes loves 800, other times, no interest
i have little doubt in monaco he couda gone 1'42-mid, perhaps even low if he'd run his best possible 800
his 3'27.7 was worth ~ 1s quicker in a perfect run, meaning slower start, no wide bend running, even-pace & pacing lasting to bell
his 400 speed looks about 46-high/47-flat based on a 48+ on a primitive dirt track in kenya ( & almost certainly unrested )
3'26.75 with
47.00 -> 1'42.53 , 2'11.60
46.75 -> 1'42.29 , 2'11.40
that was for monaco last year - he shouda gone for the 1k wr at the time - he had enough in hand to break that
his target has to be today dipping into the 1'42s, making him only 3rd guy to have gone < 1'43 / < 3'30, albeit, 1/2 dozen+ more guys shouda done it if they had run some elite quality field 800s at their peaks

I really hope so. I dunno why, but Kiprop is probably my favorite runner on the circuit right now

Get a degree.
I know he doesn't know how to pace an 800, that's why he could run 1:42, if he paces it right.
Bram Som is an excellent pacer and will carry them to 550 meters. 49.3 at the bell for Som, with Amos and Kiprop somewhere 2nd through 5th, and somebody's going 1:43 low or faster. I don't think Kiprop would be running if he didn't mean to PR.
I only started this thread because Kiprop in the 800 is the most interesting thing about Paris and the topic was being ignored.

I really can't see how Asbel Kiprop should beat Nijel Amos over 800m. But let's wait and see.

In another thread (about Komen's times from 1500 to 5k) he has acted like a child (also the level of his "arguments"). And even much worse. Putting phrases under a name which the person never has said. The only target for such an behaviour is to put discredit to the person in question. Very bad.
Yes, that tactic is called a "strawman argument" or "stawmanning." Most despicable.
Congrats, you were right.
good call bro. Looked like he relaxed at the very end.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
