In the World Marathon Major era (2006-present), no woman has more WMM wins than Keitany, who claimed three London titles and four NYC victories and retires with pbs of 64:55 and 2:17:01. On the LetsRun.com Mt. Rushmore of women's marathoners, she's on there along with Paula Radcliffe, Catherine Ndereba, and Grete Waitz.

The half marathon world record holder just missed the course record with her 2:22:38 win. Des Linden led early and ended up the top American in 6th in 2:26:42.

The pros weighed in on bouncing back from Worlds, chasing the course record (or not), and (of course) the Nike Vaporflys.

Keitany returns to defend her title against NYC champ Cheruiyot and they also face Berlin champ Gladys Cherono and Chicago champ Brigid Kosgei. So four out of six of the reigning champs from WMM races will be there.

2018 was the best year in the history of the women's marathoning. Coming into the year, only five women in history had ever broken 2:19 but six different women did it 2019.  Plus 11 times a woman broke 2:20 in 2018, the most in history.

Keitany ran 30:59 to win by more than a minute.

This will be the first time since Paula Radcliffe set her 2:15:25 WR in 2003 that London has used male pacers for the women's race.

When Keitany ran the 2:17:01 women's only WR last year, she was on pace to break 2:15:25 at halfway, but had to run the second half of the race solo when her pacer fell back.
