2022 USATF Distance Classic: Australia’s Abbey Caldwell (4:04.18) Punches Her Ticket to Worlds, But No One Else Does

The meet was a bit underwhelming as Caldwell was the only athlete to hit the World Championship standard on the night. In other action, Neil Gourley took down Cole Hocker and won the men’s 1500 in 3:35.43 and Evan Jager struggled over the final 150 in the men’s steeple and Emma Coburn ran 4:09 in the women's 1500. The most entertaining race of the night may have been the B heat of the men's 800 with Cooper Teare and HS sensation Colin Sahlman.

RRW: Team Boss Going For Colorado State Mile Records On Saturday Night

The group coached by Joe Bosshard which includes Emma Coburn, Dani Jones, Aisha Praught Leer, Cory McGee, Dom Scott, Cruz Culpepper and Morgan McDonald are going for the 4:36.05 and 4:01.00 Colorado mile records. The race will be live streamed for free on YouTube at 10:30PM ET. The group is also using the race to raise money for scholarships for black Colorado high school students.
