Pathetic.
Fellas, did he keep the ball rolling?
"Pro," huh?
people going on and on in the comments about the wind - did they ever think that maybe it was the sound of the wind going past the mic as the guy on the bike was riding along side him?
noob
So about what Cole Sprout ran in a TT altitude-adjusted. Also he'd lose to Nico Young.
FWIW, the weather apps list the wind in Purceville to be 12mpw. Not bad, not great.
And yeah to the people in the comments, even if it wasn’t windy at all, just the fact that the camera is on a bicycle and moving is going to cause noise like that.

Look up Purcelville VA. It was both hot (68c) and wind (12 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph, according to accuweather). It's close to DC, which tends to be windy from March to May.
I don't know what people were expecting. Getting huge stress fracture in foot, out for months, no race for 8 months and then coming back on a 66% solo TT (in the hardest 2/3rd's of the race) and supposing that he should be close to PR shape? It is what it is, a solid run, not a breakthrough, but also not a disaster like some here make it out to be.

Would Nico Young beat Drew Hunter in a 3200? That’s a good question.
No it’s not.
Seems like it could be.
Especially seeing as Young ran an 8:03 3k followed by 8x400 the other day.

Agreed. Look at Mom and others cheering him on. There was negligible wind. And all these people who were predicting fast times -- you're fools. This wasn't going to be a fast time trial, and it was a rust buster for the guy after not competing since the outdoor national championship last year. He said he wanted to run between 8:30 and 8:40, and he ran 8:36. I'd say it was a pretty successful run. SO SHOULD EVERYONE.
wind has nothing to do with going from 66s to 72s

68c is a bit toasty.
Moran.
Late runner phil is currently typing up a 2000 word explanation of how this performance indicates Drew Hunter will win the 2021 Olympics and how Tinman is superior to all other coaches.

yeah I'd choose the field in a class of 2020 vs Hunter 2 mile.

Also, LRP, the reason there wouldn’t be hate if it were Chelimi, Mead, or any other pro is because they don’t have a weird groupie trolling the boards dozens of times a day like you do.
Wow, this guy got it exactly right. Can you see into the future?

Strange comment considering he didn't run any 66s or 72s.
Hunter qualified for World's last year but was injured. 7:39i this year indicates that he was in very good shape. This workout doesn't indicate anything in particular.
Little worse than I thought. 12mph is decent wind ~ I guess I'd been assuming he'd race indoors. Don't think 68 degrees has a huge impact.
It's saying something when this is being compared to the current group of hot high schoolers, and not the graduating collegiate (and McDonald) crowd. I'm afraid to say more of what I'm seeing.
