how do you figure that? it's going to kill more people in less time....
Right now the IHME model is predicting ~66k deaths by August from Covid-19. IIRC this is a model that the government has leaned on. From CNN, ~80k died in the 17-18 season.
The IMHE is a shltmodel. We’ll hit 100k by August... I find it hard to see how we’re under 100k at the end of May barring a ‘miracle.’

I trust the IHME model more than I trust you.

23,000 > 45! ! WHAT IS WRRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!?
they look really dumb now,
They only look dumb to people with low IQs that don't know what context means.

Nah, they look dumb to everyone, because your context was an illusion built after you realized how wrong you were, and you are dumb. Therefore, your dumb viewpoints appear dumb.
Even if the deaths did stop at 60K making it a "bad flu" by raw numbers, which it seems very unlikely they will, that means it hit "bad flu" numbers despite draconian stay at home and distancing efforts. To think that it wouldn't have been much worse without is also dumb.

no integrity.
Yet another lie. You seem to have a loose relationship with the truth. I never said anything like that.
oh.....really?

Your facts are not facts, 61,000 is more than 5,100, that's the only fact we have today.

If your stance is that the coronavirus is more deadly than the flu, for all the reasons that you stated, and thus required an aggressive response that the 2017/2018 flu didn't require. OK, prove it. The "less deadly" flu that didn't worry you killed 61,000.

The "new deaths" columns is not a "daily deaths" column. I will wait until CDC reporting, which is delayed by two days.

No problem at all with manning up to being wrong
There is a long thread on this message board with a title you typed that contains two blatant falsehoods, if not flat out lies. They were pointed out to you several times. You never manned up. To the contrary, you spazzed out. Spazzing out is not manning up. Who told you spazzing out is the equivalent of manning up? They were wrong. Spazzing out is NOT manning up.
Spazzing out ≠ manning up
Look, it's Mondo Dumbo. Hilarious! I post about your rage and you try and turn it around. You literally spent all weekend typing up stupid sh!t that no one read. You were pissed! You were so pissed that people said mine was a hall of fame post the rage in your typing was so obvious. You are a tool. When the mortality rate is proven to be 0.1 you won't admit you are wrong, you will kick your dog and beat your wife because you're a rager!
Too funny!

Shocking, he will never admit he was wrong.

welp.
No glee here. But if the numbers level of at 60,000 to 80,000 then that demonstrates social distancing for 4-8 weeks (depending on location, some barely at all) actually worked. We'd be at much higher.
However, when things open up this summer, numbers are going to go back up. By end of year we'll probably be at 150,000 to 200,000 by the end of the year. Not a typical flu season as factsdon't matter tries to profess.
Why is it that people who discount the severity will have to apologize, but people who overstate the severity are morally superior? Why are we having this competition?

Social distancing likely does work, but there's no way of actually demonstrating it. I also don't think that we can say anything about what will happen if and when things open up.

Ok, good catch. I don't remember that but fair enough. I already said that at 61,001 I would admit I was wrong, but I'm sorry, I'm gonna have keep typing if it gets there. It's just starting to get good with the antibody testing and I have sooooooo much to say about it. Feel free to ignore my posts should it come to that.
And you are still a bit premature, last I checked we were not at 61,001
No. That's spazzing out again. That's not manning up. Manning up is when you post "Yeah, I lied in that thread title. I was drunk and therapy is not going well. I'll endeavor to do better!" See? See how manning up looks?
You can't double down on the spazz. It just looks worse. People start to think "Man, that guy is not only a liar, but he's a total flamboyant spazz as well."

Either way, we are nowhere near 61,001. I’d say Facts Matter is sitting pretty.
