Today, I was running as fast as I could to improve my speeds, and someone ran pass me, I decided to run past her, then 1 minute later, she ran past me, rinse and repeat for 10 times after 14 miles. It felt like a legit race, it was fun lol.
I don't get passed
I don’t mind if a cutie passes me. It’s motivation to keep up but I won’t feel the need to pass if I like the view.
I could care less if I get passed while training.
Now if someone tries to latch onto my pace, I slowly turn the screw until I drop them.
I am nobody's rabbit.

I don't feel that way. People have latched on to me for stretches and it never bothered me. Most are not doing it to be competitive -- often times it is someone pushing themselves to go a little faster for a while. Some have even thanked me for the ride when they detached.
In my past, I couldn't get past getting passed while running past my physical capabilities, so I would wait until the other runner slowed to pass them back and put them in my past.
i dont mind anonymous co-runners but when i only see them later on strava flyby, shadowing me for lenghts, it is somewhat creepy, your right.
No but I find that people running ahead of me disrupt my rhythm. I don't wear a GPS watch so I can only judge my pace by my stopwatch... but when someone slower is ahead of me I feel the need to get past them as quickly as possible so there is clear road ahead.
Back in 1983 when I was living in Bangkok I used to run 1300m laps at this park in the early morning. Nothing real fast but usually around 6:20 to 6 flat pace. Back then no one was running except boxers and muay thai boxers. On a regular basis when I was out running my laps at this park. I would pass by some young boxers who were also running. Sure enough, one of them would either latch on or pull up beside me and continue running with me for as long as he could hold out. Most only could keep up for 200-300m. I did once have a guy complete a whole lap with me.
