Huge Stinston fan. I might have to drive down to the trials for this one.

Stinson didn't "stinson", he ran even splits and threw down a 2:10.
What is UP LRC!!
Wow Stinson this is what happens when you race SMART and not like an idiot. Congrats.

2:10 please, at the Chicago Marathon. He is a nobody. He barely beat the first woman. If you would have ran his normal race he would have lost to the first woman.
Agreed, Stinson is a loser. Nobody will ever like him. We have a new definition of moron, someone that follows Stinson on Instagram
Look who forgot to change handles.
He finally ran 2:10, but got beat by two unsponsored Americans.....
Parker Stinson, wearing Saucony shoes (he said he didn’t know the model)

Exactly. 2:10 sucks. Any of us on here could run faster than that except we're too busy banging supermodels on our yachts.
Happy Columbus Day!
I can’t get excited about an American running 2:10.
We should be doing better than that.
I’m confused. Why would Letsrun go home devastated? We always make fun of American marathoners running between 2:10-2:12 and never faster. Stinson did just that. He’s an average America in marathoner. Nothing shameful about that. Eventually he’ll realize there’s better thing in life than jogging a 2:11 marathon.

Why was he so disingenuous about the shoes? He flat out lied. Is that how you represent your sponsor? It's well known they are working on a VF competitor. Why not say they are coming along great and it was awesome to have a shoe that helps me so much be a better runner. Or was it because they broke the rules as these are not "readily available"? hmm, yeah Bingo!
https://www.podiumrunner.com/jared-ward-helping-saucony-develop-faster-racing-shoes_177820Looks like the Saucony "vaporflies" are VERY good, there's no way Parker goes 2:10 in normal shoes. I'm guessing these Saucony prototypes are about a 6% shoe.

No one likes you on here and you are just an also ran dude. You almost got beat by the 1st woman. How much do you make a year running that way?
Stinson destoyed Kosgei by almost 4 mins - give him his due. I hope that the race organizers paid him considerably more money than Kosgei as he certainly threw down a totally superior athletic performance at Chicago yesterday which should be rewarded accordingly. None of this sexist BS please.
The real question is can Stinson make the women's Olympic Team? Yes that's right, the women's because if you think he is a serious contender for the men's that's a joke. Actually, he kinda looks like a woman too.

Seems like all the B-level trolls have come out of the wood work for this one.

Parker is not even the top women in the US, much less the world. Let him race Molly Huddle.
Really happy for him, hope to see him improve some more in the future.
^^ this is what a normal response to his run on Sunday looks like

Come on now, that's a bit over the top dude. I'll delete my own thread if you post that garbage again.

There was a good group of Americans at 2:10-2:11
The trials for men and women are going to be fun. I might just get me a plane ticket to Atlanta!
Off to watch a group of slow runners.
Like a 10.4 100m
Or a 47 sec 400
or a 30 minute 10 k
2:10 is so 1950's
I’ll give him his due. He would probably go 2:05 on the Kenyan special sauce.
