No fanboy. And not pollyannaish to believe elites, mid-packers, and even hobby-joggers don't resort to cheating and misconduct for a number of ultimately self-serving reasons. In this era of post Lance Armstrong (among many others) cheating revelations it would seem no one is above reproach even for those who have stopped competing for many years.
There is a difference between the honest appraisal of Matt's running endeavors and those that use of tactics such throwing out the most improbable reasons for his accomplishment, wild speculation on how he could have cheated the same course run for so many years, and worst of all guilt by unfair comparison to so many of the recent generation of cheaters.
It's unfortunate we live in a time when a person's integrity is so easily questioned.
