Again the free event will host the European Cup at the Parliament Hill track in London with athletes from 29 countries taking part in the A & B races.
The men's will feature a three studs race between the top three guys of 2018 - Richard Ringer (last year's winner) going after the German Record (27'21"), Morad Amdouni going for the French record (27'22") and Yemani Crippa from Italy trying to get the standard for Doha after having just run 13'09" and 3'37" in Diamond League. Plus Moen & Meucci in the super deep field.
Lonah Salpeter will aim to repeat last year's win and a sub 31' could well come after her sub 2.20' in Prague with Elish McColgan trying to capitalize on her recent good 5k form.
Weather expected to be 19-20 C in the evening with little wind.
Great day of entertainment with nine races in a tried and tested format with spectators allowed on the track, two tunnels, a beer bar, a bridge and this year the new pacing system from Wave Light Technology used in Hengelo two weeks ago plus a Q/A with pace-maker extraordinaire Bram Som, olimpic Liz Mc Colgan and Andy Vernon plus magician Dan the Hat and a mysterious Gong Man.... 8-10,000 spectators expected on the Night.
