This says more about the brojos than it does about Bishop, Semenya, or IAAF. None of the actual journalists who wrote the articles about Bishop felt the need to add that little tidbit. The brojos are like middle schoolers who find out that their classmate was born out of wedlock, so they start calling him "illegitimate Charlie." Sure, it's true, but they're only doing it because they're self-righteous and want to p!ss people off.
Brojos -- You can make your views known without being jerks. That's what real journalists do.
Would you prefer they said she was the first "real women"? Brojos are trying to be politically correct while also reminding us that she was the top of the current landscape when she left. Tottally fair and relevant to the discussion.
I would also say it's fair to mention, but they didn't, that as a XX Mellisa actual had to endure pregnancy to have child and missed out on a year of training to do so, Caster and the other XYs don't have to worry about that and potentially could have there wives do the pregnancy thing for them, with a little fertility help. Totally unfair.
