Richmond Half is pretty d@mn flat, save for two hills. One is a small one over the railroad tracks at close to Mile 3 and the other is the nice long downhill finish. I wouldn't say it's "Pancake" flat like Shamrock Half in Virginia Beach or something like Coastal Delaware/Rehobeth Beach, but it's as about as close as you are going to get. I'd estimate that one uphill to be maybe 25 feet? Great crowd support. Running thru Bellevue and North Side neighborhoods is fun because the residents really get into the race.
I like Richmond as a city to visit. The Fan/Shockoe Bottom area has a lot of local restaurants and bars. Some nice parks, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is a really cool art museum with some great permanent exhibits. A lot of history in and around Richmond if you are into that.
There's been a lot of threads over the years about Richmond on the boards. I'd bet if you used the search function, you'd easily be able to get any other info you want.
