Both have their place in training and both are very different exercises.

What are strides?
What are striders?
You failed to explain their differences so you must see them as the same since you brought this up unprovoked.
Agreed.
Strides are done by people who know what they're talking about
Striders are done by annoying people that you shouldn't associate with

Strides is a real term used in running.
Striders is used by kooks that are too lazy or indifferent to pay attention to their coach, if they had cared enough to pay attention they would know their coach actually said 'strides'.
If the coach actually said 'striders' then you're not dealing with an experienced running coach.
Bruce Denton (the great American clock cleaner) says they are striders.
what r they?

ya'll need to get laid..asap
I’ve always heard people use them interchangeably. I always say strides because striders sounds like a dumb made up word. Didn’t know there was a difference.
The official term is “strides”. Annoying people who want to sound like they know what they’re talking about say “striders”.

Those are Critical Striders. Completely different.

Tinman can't help it, he doesn't have a heart.
The only thing more annoying than the term striders is someone posting a manual activity on Strava for "post run striders" as they split hairs over documenting their mileage.

This I get. I fartlek mid week during an easy run. Occasionally I’ll add some fartleks to a long run on the weekend.
Same things. I say strides, but I have said strider before. Strides are 80% relaxed. That's different from sprints.
