Ding, ding.
The only question is, which state will go RECREATIONAL with any of these psychedelics? The medical uses are huge, but overall, they're just like marijuana.
So, the Oregon initiated would set up a medical system and I think decriminalize recreational use. So this would put it roughly on the path marijuana was on in California in 1996. It took until 2012 for anybody to legalize recreational use. I think it is likely it will be one of the west Coast states, but honestly that is just speculation. Although I think it will happen faster both because of changes in society and because I think it is likely there will be some sort of rescheduling.
Not sure how big a change that really is. Active mushrooms grow fairly abundantly in the wild throughout large parts of the country. They are easy to cultivate, even in relatively large quantities. They don't require large inputs of electricity like marijuana and are less susceptible to detection because of smell.
A much larger change would be if there were some change in the status of LSD because that runs into the federal controls on the various precursors. LSD precursors are fairly tightly controlled at the federal level and the chemistry involves quite a bit of sophistication for a successful synthesis. I don't really know anything about MDMA synthesis.
